Luther、9枚目のアルバム「Songs」からシングル・カットされた「デュオ・ソング」の定番カヴァー。
オリジナルはもちろん1981年、9週連続全米NO.1を記録した「あの曲」でしたね。
こちらのヴァージョンは、その週の2位が最高位。王座奪取を阻止したのは、Boyz Ⅱ Men「I’ll Make Love To You」でした・・・。

Twenty-seven years ago, right around “about this time” in 1994, this song was climbing to number two on the U.S. hit charts.
This is the classic cover of the “Duo Song”, a single cut from Luther’s ninth album “Songs”.
The original was, of course, “that song” that was No. 1 in the U.S. for nine consecutive weeks in 1981.
This version had the highest number 2 position that week. It was Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love To You” that prevented it from taking the title….
