アルバム「All Things Must Pass」からのシングル・カットで、この5年後にはThe Chiffons「He’s So Fine」（1963年全米NO.1）の盗作裁判で敗訴するという「歴史的事実」をのこした曲でした・・・。

Fifty years ago, right around this time in 1971, this song was number one on the U.S. hit charts.
After the breakup of The Beatles, this was the first solo work by one of the members to reach No. 1 in the U.S.
The song was a single cut from the album “All Things Must Pass” and five years later, lost a plagiarism case against The Chiffons’ “He’s So Fine” (No.1 in the U.S. in 1963), which was a “historical fact”.
Including this week, it reigned for four consecutive weeks.
